What is LVP?
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) is a synthetic material. This type of flooring is made to look like hardwood, stone or tile. LVP consists of layers. A backing layer, which sits closest to the floor, is the first layer. Next come the fiberboard and resin layers which give the floor its strength. After that comes the “photo layer” closest to the top of the flooring boards, which is designed to make the laminate look like the product you desire. Finally, there is a clear plastic layer, closest to the top of the flooring boards, and this is how the flooring gets its name.
